I returned to the Lord of the Rings Online MMO a last fall when it went free to play. Luckily I was grandfathered in as a Premium member since I used to subscribe a few years ago. The content has really grown and I have found that the new pricing model works well for me. My primary character is far past the free areas but I don’t mind paying ten bucks now and again to unlock quests for a new area, it sure beats $10-15 every month.
The lore content of the game is also great, lots of good stuff if you are a Tolkien fan. From what I hear there are also a lot fewer asshats than in WoW. Use the link below to sign up!
